More News from the CA DMV on COVID-19 Protocols
In keeping with my goal of sharing relevant automotive information that affects us all, I am sharing this latest update from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. As of August 20, the California DMV is expanding health screening questions and temperature checks currently in place for behind-the-wheel drive tests. This applies to all employees and all customers who enter a DMV facility.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, customers who display a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, using an infrared thermometer will be rescheduled for a future DMV appointment. All DMV employees will participate in a health screening that includes a temperature check before the start of each shift, and those with temperatures above 100.4 will be sent home. This is in addition to other recent protective actions taken by the DMV in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
