"What’s so different about LGBTQ car buyers? Aren’t they just like anyone else? Yes, we are. Like everyone else, we get excited while watching the Super Bowl, we celebrate holidays together with family, we cry when watching a movie that pulls at our heartstrings, we celebrate the birth of a newborn baby, and we are saddened when someone we care for passes away. We love pets like family members. We save, invest, recycle, and vote.""What’s different is that a disproportionate number of us are educated, own our own businesses, earn above-average income, and tend to have fewer children and thus more disposable income. Many of us have excellent credit and can buy whatever kind of vehicle we want.""But you don’t have to take my word for it. In 2015, National LGBT Chamber of Commerce-certified LGBT business enterprises contributed over $1.15 billion to the U.S. economy. If you read the comments in Marva Laws' article, you see that a dealer states that in any region, only about two dealerships are needed to support the LGBTQ market, because LGBTQ people make up such a small
Does this mean each metropolitan area would be satisfactorily served by only offering two different auto manufacturer brands? Would the general public be satisfied with only two different brands being available? I doubt that even the family of the person who posted the comment would be satisfied with only two brands in their area. Clearly there is a need to increase understanding and respect. I created Castro Car Guy specifically for that reason. To help LGBTQ customers navigate through the auto buying process without artificial obstacles impeding their search, and by providing the respect we all deserve and expect. Yes we are all the same, but we are not all treated the same. I would like to help.
